Voting in the 2006 Kingston Municipal Election

This Article is By: Kingston Electors    On  Aug. - 06, 2005

Voting refers to the processes through which City Council and regional School Board candidates appeal to the citizens of Kingston, and the citizenry chooses who among those candidates will represent them. Elections, candidates' campaigns, and the voting process are all involved in voting.

By and large, Kingstonians don't vote in large numbers in municipal elections. Though the number of registered voters who turn out on election day has fluctuated, the overall trend has been downward in recent elections.

The next Kingston municipal election will be held on Monday November 13, 2006. Nominations will close in early October 2006
